The float magnetic field turns the red and white flags outside the tube. The red flags show the liquid level position. The white flags show the area above the liquid. This gives a clear direct reading with no power needed. The unit has a built in electric heat tracing system. The self regulating heating element adjusts power based on ambient temperature.
