Titanium-based ruthenium-coated anodes, as mixed metal oxide (MMO) electrodes, are produced by coating ruthenium oxide and other metal oxides (iridium, tin, titanium dioxide included) on titanium substrates. They provide high stability for industrial electrolysis and disinfection scenarios requiring chlorine evolution, high current density and active oxidation, with excellent electrical conductivity and chemical resistance. Key coatings: Ru-Ir (brine/seawater chlorine evolution), Ru-SnO₂ (affordable organic pollutant oxidation), Ru-TiO₂ (lifespan/corrosion resistance boost). Coating thickness (5–20μm) is adjustable. Advantages: low chlorine evolution voltage, high current capacity, durable sintered coatings, anti-scaling surfaces for easy upkeep. Widely used in sodium hypochlorite generators, pool disinfection electrodes, chlorine dioxide generators, seawater electrolysis and electrocatalytic oxidation, they offer mesh/plate/rod/tube shapes (Ti Gr1/Gr2) and customization.
